Help with template packs, files and print settings

Where to look when a layered file opens with missing fonts, when an export preset needs to switch between A4 and US Letter, or when you simply want to know which pack fits a pitch deck, an invoice run or a carousel campaign. Start here, then follow the page that matches your question.

Questions we get before someone opens a pack

Short answers about file formats, editing, fonts and print output. If your situation is not covered here, the contact page is the fastest route.

What do I actually receive after a download?

Layered source files, a swatch library, export presets for A4, A5 and US Letter, a font substitution list and a short walkthrough video. Nothing is flattened, so grids and named layers stay editable.

Which software opens the packs?

The files are built for the usual vector and layout editors used by small studios. If you work in a different tool, check the usage note first, since some layer effects may need a manual rebuild.

Do I need the exact fonts shown in the previews?

No. Each pack lists close substitutes and system fallbacks. Swapping a typeface takes a few minutes because text frames are named rather than grouped into one block.

Can I rebrand a deck for a client?

Yes. Replace the swatches, adjust the master pages and the rest of the layouts follow. A two-person studio can usually turn a pitch deck around before a morning meeting.

Are the layouts ready for print?

The presets cover A4, A5 and US Letter, with a print-safe variant for handouts and flyer runs. Bleed and margin guides are already set, so a local print shop can work from the exported PDF.

Where do I go if something is unclear?

Start with the walkthrough video inside the pack. If a layer or export preset still does not behave, send a note through the contact page and include the pack name and your editor version. Our privacy policy explains how those messages are handled.

Where to reach us, and when you will hear back

Most questions about a pack come down to file formats, layer names or export presets. Send the pack name and the page you are stuck on, and we can usually point you to the right layer instead of a full rebuild.

Working hours run Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 SAST. Messages that arrive over the weekend are picked up on the next working morning.

Before you write

The FAQ covers the usual ground: which apps open the source files, how swatch libraries carry across artboards, and what the print presets assume.

Read the FAQ and setup notes, or send billing and licensing questions through contact.

Clarifications before you download

A few terms get read in more than one way, and that causes support threads we would rather avoid. Here is how we define things across the catalogue, so you know what a pack includes before you open the archive.

Editable means layered source, not a flattened PDF

Every pack ships as layered source files with named layers and editable grids. A flattened PDF is included for reference and emailing, but it is not the working file. If you only need a quick print, the PDF is enough. If you need to change typefaces or brand colours, open the source.

Print-ready covers A4, A5 and US Letter

Export presets are tuned for those three sizes only. A church media team printing a run of A5 flyers and a studio sending a US Letter quote sheet are both covered. Custom trim sizes mean adjusting the master grid yourself, and we do not guarantee alignment after that.

Fonts are listed, not bundled

Each pack carries a font substitution list naming the typefaces used and sensible fallbacks such as Inter, Space Grotesk and system defaults. We do not redistribute licensed fonts. If a face is missing on your machine, swap it using the list and the layout holds.

One licence, one studio

A pack is licensed for the studio or team that buys it, including client work produced under your name. Passing the source files to another agency, reselling them as your own template set, or uploading them to a shared public drive is outside the terms.

Sample sheets are the real layouts

The free sample sheet is a trimmed version of an actual pack, not a separate demo file. What you see in the sample is the grid, spacing and swatch behaviour you get in the full download. Nothing is simplified for the preview.

Updates and walkthrough videos

When a pack is revised, the updated archive replaces the old one in your download list. The short walkthrough video stays with the pack and covers the common swaps. We do not run a subscription, so nothing is charged again for a revision.

Still unsure which pack fits your job? The getting started page walks through the catalogue by use case, and contact reaches the studio directly at info@templatesbulk.com or +27(17)4024617.
